Rainton Village Hall has lots to offer you for your event, this could be a single one off event or a more regular club, activity or function, a children’s birthday party, wedding reception, public or private meeting. We are sure we can accommodate your needs.
We want to actively encourage social activities in our community.
All we ask is that you ensure that tables and chairs are wiped clean, all crockery is washed and put away correctly after use and that the floors are swept and mopped before leaving.

The Main Hall
The Main Hall is light and spacious and with full disabled access, is an ideal venue for local clubs, social activities, public meetings & lectures, fitness classes and family celebrations. It is also an ideal size and space for children’s parties.
With a laminate wood floor the Main Hall can accommodate 50 people seated audience theatre style.
The Main Hall has modern projection equipment and a 2.4 metre or 8 foot manual retractable screen, computer HDMI connections, a separate PA system and microphones available for hirers’ use.
The kitchen is integral to the hall and is accessed directly from the Main Hall, with a serving hatch allowing easy access to the Main Hall from which food and drink can be served. The serving hatch can be closed when not in use.
Just off the Main Hall are the ladies, gents and disabled WCs. Baby changing facilities are also available.
When hiring Rainton Village Hall the use of the tables and chairs and crockery in the kitchen cupboards is included in the hire.
The Main Hall can be hired together with the Meeting Room or individually depending on your requirements.
The dimensions of the Main Hall are: 8.1 metres by 9.8 metres – a total of 73 sq metres.
The Meeting Room
The Meeting Room is a pleasant, light space accessed either through its own entrance opening onto the frontage of the village hall or through the Main Hall itself. The Meeting Room can accommodate up to 25 people in an audience layout and is ideal for local clubs, social activities, public meetings & lectures, business meetings and training. Electrical points for a projector/laptop(s) are available.
The kitchen, WCs including disabled facilities and the Main Hall can all be accessed just off the Meeting Room.
When hiring Rainton Village Hall the use of the tables and chairs and crockery in the kitchen cupboards is included in the hire charge.
The dimensions of the Meeting Room are: 5 metres by 7.3 metres – a total of 37 sq metres.
The Meeting Room can be hired together with the Main Hall or individually depending on your requirements.

The Kitchen
Rainton Village Hall kitchen is well appointed for all normal catering, including a cooker, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, a hot water boiler, cutlery, cookware and crockery.

Outside
There is a small enclosed patio area accessible from the Meeting Room and a gated outside patio area accessed from the Main Hall beside the village hall.
Both spaces can be used for outdoor activities, picnics, children’s games, for hog roasts and summer reception drinks. Should additional covered entertaining space be required then gazebos, with or without sides can be hired and added on to the side of the hall.
