Hiring the Hall

Rates

Rooms are hired by the hour, our price list can be viewed below. 

All hire rates include:

  • Use of the tables and chairs
  • Full kitchen facilities, crockery, cutlery and kettle/water heater
  • Digital projector and large screen
  • Heating and lighting

The rates below are applicable for 2026 and are open for negotiation when full day hire or long term repeat hire is required.

* Local Residents are defined as those living in the parish of Rainton with Newby. 

The local resident rate applies to parish-based organisations; including clubs, societies & associations and private functions from within the parish of Rainton with Newby.

The Management Committee

Rainton Village Hall operates as a registered charity; 702323. The Village Hall management committee is made up of voluntary trustees, a member of the Parish Council and representatives of all the clubs and activities which use the Rainton Village Hall. 

A new management committee is voted in at the Village Hall’s annual general meeting (AGM) each year.

The current management committee as elected at the January 2026 AGM are:

Chair – Gillian Common
Treasurer – Jenny Harwood
Secretary – Kingsley Weber

The management committee give up their time to keep Rainton Village Hall running and to try to improve it for future users. We are always looking for new people to lend us a hand with events and fund raising – if you can help in any way please contact us.
