Parish Council
The council meets, in the Village Hall, on the second Tuesday of each month - members of the public and the press are welcome to attend.
Working for Rainton and its parishioners; the Parish Council is committed towards improving the quality of life in Rainton, for the benefit of all its parishioners.
All Parish Council meetings are open to the public and these meetings include a regular slot where parishioners can ask questions.
An Annual General Parish meeting for all parish electors has, by law, to be held every year in May at which reports on the previous year are made and at which parishioners can raise items of query or concern.

Rainton with Newby Village Hall is a registered charity; 702323 and managed by a committee of volunteers made up of trustees and local group representatives, and as such Rainton with Newby Village Hall does not receive any local authority funding, but relies on hiring revenue and fundraising by volunteers.
